Girls Gymnastics

Ladies artistic gymnastics is one of the most popular types of gymnastic activity. Gymnasts in this discipline compete on four pieces of apparatus, namely Asymmetric Bars, Beam, Floor and Vault.

Cardiff Olympic is Wales' most senior ladies artistic gymnastics club. With a current membership list of over three hundred members ranging from recreational to regional squad level, Cardiff Olympic has something to offer gymnasts of all abilities. The women's artistic section currently has over 20 qualified coaches, led by head coach Denise Morgan, to ensure that members receive expert tuition in a safe environment.

This section follows a number of award schemes. Gymnasts at recreational level have the chance to participate in the Welsh Gymnastics and BGA (British Gymnastics Association) award schemes twice a year, while the more senior gymnasts progress through the British NDP (National Development Plan) grade system each year.

The main aim of the club for new recreational members is to offer the chance to participate in gymnastics in an environment which is safe, fun and encouraging.
